Launch of the Normand Forest Leadership Program

On Friday, November 3rd at 5:00 pm, a mixed crowd gathered in the Canisius Hall at the University of Sudbury for the launch of a new initiative: the Normand Forest Leadership Program.

The Normand Forest Leadership Program is essentially a scholarship fund for students enrolled in our programs or residing in the Lucien-Matte Residence. Recipients will take on a leadership role and help shape the student experience at the University of Sudbury. This group of undergraduate students will play a key role in the life of the institution and meet to discuss programming and activities, participate in university governance, and engage in professional and leadership development training as well as networking opportunities.

As they learn about governance, students involved in this program will also be tasked with advising the President and Vice-Chancellor on a variety of topics, discuss current issues at the University and provide feedback and opinions reflective of the student body in order to enhance their educational and social experiences while at the University of Sudbury.

We look forward to seeing the positive outcomes of this program. Thank you to the Forest family and to all the donors for their important support.
