From March 5-7, 2020, we invite you to come and celebrate the movement of Anishinaabeg/Indigenous thought, heart, reality, and spirit in relation to the discipline of Indigenous Studies while acknowledging the contributions of key knowledge keepers and change-makers from across Turtle Island who had their beginnings at the University of Sudbury, particularly those who were at the forefront of our collective Indigenous revitalization and resurgence movement.
OUTLINE OF THE 3-DAY EVENT & REGISTRATION/TICKETS:
• Thursday, March 5 (FREE – MUST REGISTER HERE): Professor Emeritus granting ceremony for Dr. Jim Dumont & Dr. Emily Faries
• Friday, March 6 (FREE– MUST REGISTER HERE): Day of Gathering for Knowledge Keepers; community members; alumni; students; and former and current faculty and staff (drop in basis)
• Saturday, March 7 ($ - MUST BUY TICKETS HERE): Anishinaabe Maanjidowin Gala honouring our knowledge keepers and the Anishinaabeg Nation, catered by Hiawatha’s in Sudbury. Sarain Fox and Edward George will the the MCs at this Gala!
