Weengushk International Film Festival comes to Sudbury
With poignant stories to be shared, Weengushk Film Institute, in partnership with the University of Sudbury and its department of Indigenous Studies, welcome international artists, guests, and community members to gather in Sudbury, Ontario on November 21st and 22nd, 2012.
Weengushk International Film Festival showcases artistic works from M'Chigeeng First Nation (Weengushk Film Institute), First Nations including urban First Nation communities, and film makers from New Zealand, Chile, Mexico, the United States and Canada. With the intent of sharing stories of relationships in our contemporary world, our collective historical memories, and our visionings for the future, WIFF represents a meeting place for student learners and experienced filmmakers to showcase artistic works while providing an intimate atmosphere to promote the arts and foster relationships.
