Congratulations to Marcel Bénéteau!
The University of Sudbury congratulates Marcel Bénéteau, recipient of the Ordre de la Pléiade, which he accepted during a ceremony that was held on October 16, 2012.
The Ordre de la Pléiade, created in 1976, is an order of Francophonie and the dialog of cultures. This initiative of the Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie recognizes the merits of people who have stood out by serving the Francophone ideals of cooperation and friendship.
Marcel Bénéteau, professor in the Department of Folklore and ethnology at the University of Sudbury, plays an important role within the francophone community by teaching and sharing its folkloric traditions.
