Indigenous Culture Awareness Presentations

The Indigenous Culture Awareness Presentations allow high school students to learn about the rich and diverse Indigenous culture in a meaningful way. A dynamic group of presenters, whom are members of the community and university students, facilitate presentations, sharing circles as well as informative sessions in classrooms, for committees and groups.


The Indigenous Culture Awareness Presentations allow students to:
  • Learn in a respectful and open-minded environment;
  • Discover the rich and diverse Indigenous culture;
  • Learn about programs and courses offered in French at the University of Sudbury, particularly in the Indigenous Studies program.

FOR WHOM          Students from grade 9 to 12 in French language schools 
WHEN    During regular class time 
LENGTH    50 to 75 minutes depending on the activity 
SUBJECTS    A variety of presentations touching upon various aspects and themes
are offered in order to allow schools to choose the presentation that meets
their needs and that of their students.

These activities are a great fit for a variety of classes such as music, history, geography, religion, etc.

Please note that these workshops are currently offered in French only to the following school boards: CSCDGR, CSCFN, CSCNO, CSPGNO, CSPNE.
