The University of Sudbury, in partnership with Rainbow District School Board, hosted a free 3-day youth cultural summer camp. It took place from Tuesday, July 2nd to Thursday, July 4th, 2019, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the University of Sudbury.

☀️ This camp was open to Grade 7-8 students from Rainbow Schools.

☀️ Indigenous and non-Indigenous students were welcome!

☀️ Lunches and snacks were provided.

The camp was offered in English and promoted Indigenous values and knowledge to youth through traditional teachings and land-based learning.

As an extension of the hands-on experiential learning approach offered by the Indigenous Studies program at the University of Sudbury, the cultural camp offered a fun and open environment to learn and connect with language, culture, values and traditional teachings!
