"MÉDIAS SOCIAUX 101" - NOVEMBER 6

MEDIA TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOP SERIES presents: "MÉDIAS SOCIAUX 101"

Twitter and Facebook is one thing. Instagram can be learned. But these platforms are just the tip of the iceberg. A presence on social media can brake down for a number of reasons, but you do not have to be an expert to know what you're talking about.

On Tuesday, NOVEMBER 6, from 7-8:30 p.m., the Labo Médias will offer a "Médias sociaux 101" workshop (in French) that can give you an excellent overview of everything you can do online.

If you want a better understanding of these new (and less new) platforms, REGISTER NOW, it's not too late! https://usudbury.ca/en/media-technology-workshop-series, or contact Félix Hallée-Théoret: fv_halleetheoret@usudbury.ca, 705-673-5661, ext. 211.

Workshops will be offered every Tuesday in November
7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
room 212, University of Sudbury

COST: $90 + HST / $45 + HST for students

Stay tuned for upcoming workshops!
Note: The workshops will be offered in the described language.

USING A CELL PHONE TO CREATE QUALITY CONTENT FOR THE WEB - Tuesday, November 12
Most cell phones these days are equipped with better cameras than professionals used in the 1980s. However, this fact on its own doesn’t guarantee that video filmed with these cameras will look professional. Lighting, sound, and camera work all need to be taken into account for optimal results. This workshop will cover how to use cellular devices (and their cameras) to create the best possible content for the web.

BETTER BRAINSTORMING WITH GROUPS - Tuesday, November 27
Brainstorming is one of the most crucial steps in any creative process, and it’s always more stimulating to do it in groups, or at the very least not alone. As anyone who’s done it can attest, this can quickly get very messy if you don’t have the proper tools. These can range from a simple moderator-led session to a more complex forum where ideas are brought forward in innovative ways. This workshop will help you organize, lead and participate in group brainstorms in a way that maximizes participation, involvement, and most importantly, results.
