If you came by the University of Sudbury on January 30, 2019, you would have seen the big set-up in the main entrance lobby, and students and staff from the University of Sudbury Residence promoting the Bell Let’s Talk Day in support of mental health. In a nutshell, Bell donated 5 cents to Canadian mental health initiatives for every eligible action made on January 30th, such as making a call or sending a text on a Bell network, using the #BellLetsTalk hashtag on social media, or watching the Bell video clip online. This day also encouraged reflection and conversations about mental health. Many showed their support by completing these eligible actions, signing the banner, or sharing positive messages and tips on “conversation bubble” sheets that were then posted in the main entrance. They also donned the blue Bell Let’s Talk toques, and other items that were handed out, and enjoyed the free snacks that were available.

$7,272,134 was the grand total raised on the national Bell Let’s Talk Day 2019, and we are proud to have contributed and encouraged important dialogue on the subject of mental health and awareness. For more information, you can visit the Bell website:

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported the cause!
